A 2009 study published in Eye & Contact Lens assessed the performance of contact lens corrections amongst presbyopic participants using both objective and subjective ratings. For day or night driving, and many other aspects of driving including reading signs, looking in side mirrors and reduced glare and halos, subjects rated AIR OPTIX® AQUA MULTIFOCAL as better than monovision contact lenses, and as good as optimised distance correction.
